it was a week of japalang emotions of happiness, sadness, frustration, tiredness, etc...

after 3D2N in malaysia (Genting & KL) with my colleagues, i was mentally very tired due to the lack of sleep. But i shd sae, i had good fun in malaysia during the 3 days. These group of colleagues were people special to me.. in a way, we joined the company almost at the same time, all (minus 1) have went thru the confusion of 2 re-organisations and transfer from one co to another.. thoughout the time, we supported each other emotionally.. gg out for our usual lunches, tea breaks during the slack time, spool ball playin, suaning of each other, havin our own 'fat corner'.. these are wonderful memories i had, and i will seriously miss them much after this, not much of those within my team.. during the 3D2N, we had fun, though i dint buy much stuff except for 2 blouses from padini but its the company tt afterall.. =)

back in the office thereafter, it was hectic days for mi.. going for interviews, tryin to organise and clear out my stuff while being asked to do this and that by my boss.. well, at least im happy tt i did leave a good impression before i left.. and im glad that there were nice colleagues in the department who are willing to help mi with my job search..

well well, shall rest a while for now.. and i look forward to april! *wheez* holidays, holidays, holidays... alright, shall share some of the photos taken overseas...

12 (working) days to a new born freedom.. sth tt i yearned so much ever since i started work in my new team early this year.. and finally, after such mental torture, i am getting it..

although I was given a chance to continue on a perm basis on my job, i turned it down.. if i were in a better team, with a better boss, i would happily accept the chance to stay.. but too bad, circumstances were in such a way tt making mi stay was so hard.. wats worse with a boss tt's so gan cheong, so confused.. and we were all doing things cos it has to be done? i cant convince myself to put my 100% effort into the job, cos the instructions given were not convincing enuff in the first place! when asked whats the rationale behind all these, wats the end results we getting, all i got for the answers is even more questions being asked back at me cos she dint even noe wats the ans.. unclear directions, lots of unnecessary work has made myself think of quitting ever since i came into the team.. pple who worked independently, last min (really last min) changes has made my work very difficult, esp when im dealing with events.. i wonder if one can really stay in a place when the team dynamics is jus not there, no sharing of info, arrows shooting all around, no help rendered, everything tt can be thrown to me got threw to me.. no agenda meetings that took place at unfriendly hours like lunch times and at 630pm that generated no results took most of my time away.. if not for the half month completion bonus and my peers' encouragements, i would have quitted the job early this year.. oh well, in 12 days time, all these shall be things in the past, i hope..

okies, think i have disappeared for quite some time already, partly due to the lack of time from work committments..

for the past one month, i shd sae that it has been bz at work.. especially looking at the portfolio im doing.. it goes up and down throughout the year (like the shares in the stock market..) It was not easy for me, working on the new job scopes, working with the new team, trying to adapt to the different working styles, etc.. life has simply move from a gear 1 to a gear 4 in jus a week time after the announcement of the new org chart.. late nites, days filled with back to back meetings.. its simply madness.. and tiring, of cos.. and boy, i do really understand y pple would say that one can be the victim of circumstances at work esp with so damn much arrows shooting around.. am still trying hard to adapt with all these changes, and hopefully i do find myself a new life end next month..

work aside, things has been great.. meet-ups with frens and colleagues.. lunchs, dinners, chill-outs, movies, ktv.. and really happy that chinese new year fall on a weekday as this would mean shorter work week! *wheez!* quality time spent on family and frens.. but reality would come knockin back in jus a few days time...

I welcomed 2007 with counting down at MOS.. it was packed with people and the music wasnt too good, nevertheless, it was an eye-opener.. =) We started year 2007 with long holidays, and boy, i did enjoy the life when there's no need to wake up early to go to work and spent the days playing mahjong, watching movie, shopping, or going for potluck session at colleague's house.. but well, reality checked and we are back to work today.. still in holiday mood though..

back at work, things (as i see it) are getting better.. met up with my team lead and kinda know where im actually heading to.. i foresee the road ahead will be a winding and bumpy one before i can reap any fruits of labour.. but for a start, i needa know how to kick start everything, and to do it right.. time for me to do tonnes of research and learning.. kinda like the days doing FYP.. =)

attended the exSG (L*im B*oon H*eng) farewell dinner at nite, at Noble House.. my 2nd time eating at that restaurant.. food wise.. OK lahz, entertainment wise.. not bad! especially with ZC, samm and charlotte, as well as colleagues from my department putting up song and dance performances.. though it was kinda stressful with the directors (past and present) sitting at my table, and gotten a ride back home from big boss, the whole event was generally good.. its quite rare to see and listen to such big shots, all the Ministers and MPs at such a close distance, if u get wat I mean.. =)

yet another year is going to be over.... so fast! well, before i start with my usual 'thank you speech', shall jus provide some updates for the past weeks.. =)

DXO HR Event
16th dec saw the launch of the HR website.. though it was an official event which invites the present and past batches of students from HRC, it was a nice gathering, catching up with frens that we dint manage to meet up since graduation.. kudos to ray and co. for putting in their hard work to making this event possible.. with free flow of drinks, dinner, entertainment & with a lucky draw at the end, i would sae it was great! and boy, i guessed i was real lucky tt dae to hit the 1st prize of the lucky draw! dint really believe my luck, though.. and i asked zc a few times if he read it wrongly or i heard it wrongly, since i drank quite abit tt dae.. wat a good way to end the dae with bringing a cd mini compo home.. =)

Xmas celebrations
the days approaching xmas were super hectic.. not much of work done but buying gifts for colleagues and frens instead.. well, i shd sae i enjoy the season though.. its a season of giving.. and receiving! haha.. from prez like chocos, magnets, keychains to cd cum dvd, mousepads, necklace & earrings, I was a happy ger at the end of the dae! =)

things are oso getting abit better at work.. with the new org chart out and knowing where i am in the org chart, the boredom are replaced with anticipation instead.. hoping for the best..

well, i guessed this year had been pretty much rocky... especially with all the career stumps in my way.. however, this is life.. live with it, and pray for the best.. anywae, special thanks gg out to these special group of people..

Ups and Downs

Sometimes I simply feel that if I have a really small heart, I may die because the emotions that I am undergoing through are so extreme everyday! One day I can be so happy, the next I was going to die of boredom, and the consecutive, I was down right sad, as if all hopes are dashed and like as if I was a loser.

Saturday was a great day… attended the wedding dinner of my ex-colleague. Well, it was a simple dinner at Hilton, a nice gathering as I met up with colleagues that I have yet seen for quite some time. Went to rouge after the dinner, joining lala and her frens. Please pardon my excitement, but Rouge is really REALLY a great place!!! Good live band, even better than the one at indochine (trust me..), good music… and of course, great company, and its all that it takes to make me happy, wiping all the worries I have away.

For those who have yet seen me, I kinda changed my image, to the better (I hope..) =) Cut my hair, and have it highlighted. Well, jus to pre-empt as I have stunned quite a few friends and ex colleagues when I knocked into them around raffles place.

Work wise, it’s still the same… B-O-R-E-D-O-M!!

The thought of tendering have been crossing my mind more and more frequent these few weeks and I really think i will jus throw the letter one of these days.. not cos i have been too stressed up, but its that i have nothing to do, at all.. its not 'me'! i am not one who can really tahan boredom.. when there's too much work, i will complain, i will bitch abt it, but when there's absolutly nothing, i feel even worse!

Really looking forward to the JB trip, the leave i have applied and going to apply for, the wedding luncheon & dinner tt I was invited to, and of cos.. xmas & new year!! (quite far fetched, it however made me look forward to these dates.. at least it made my days not tt bad..)

To share my joy with everyone.. *yay* I got my room 'up and ready'! Though spent quite a bomb on the furnitures to the extent that i jus have to go on simple meals for the rest 1 or 2 months, I think it was an investment.. nothing too grand, its just a simple room.. with the addition of a wardrobe, a cupboard and aircon.. everything else ceteris paribus (a abit lesser things, threw away quite a number of stuff in the process of tidying up..).. Will let the pics do the tokking.. =)

Time flies, and before i know it, i have been in the company for close to 5 months plus.. and sad to say, its my last day.. putting aside all the unhappiness at work, i must say that i do enjoy my stay there.. all the nice people i met, the great team i was in, and the nice direct boss that i once was under.. for a fresh grad, it has made the truth of the working world not a bed of roses not that thorny..

well, the pics that follows will say much.. missing out in the pics are also 2 very nice persons cum ex-classmates that i sincerely appreciated their presence in the company.. one of which is desmond (KK).. the ever so nice chap who introduced me into the co, the occasional breakfast deliveryman and the always so calm thinking person.. and also, lavinia.. the one person that i spoke less than 10 sentences to her when i was in sch but spoke to her almost everything under the sun in company, the person that i always complained and crapped to and the occasional movie/chill out buddy 'penguin'..

a day that i thought i could enjoy the peacefulness of the office and clear my stuff before shifting down next Wed, it turned out to be a day that made me went home with a stomach filled with anger..

as we (the temps and those on contracts) were the only ones in our division in office today, we were naturally arrowed to do stuff on behalf of the perms (in their absense). Ok, fine.. but the things for us to do needa be convincing in the first place.. pls, how will u expect people to come and attend a briefing cum interview at 3.30 when u wan us to call them in the morning on the same day.. even to the extent that at 12 plus, 1.. its not even logical! the hit rate would be so low.. seriously, if its me, i wont even come for the briefing cos there's not even enuff time for me to prepare and get out of the house! but there again, i cant sae much cos its' an order passed to us yeterdae by big boss.. fine.. follow instructions and nobody turned up for the briefing at 3.30.. waited till 430, still no pple.. the project coordinator (who was a perm that was onli newly recruited and tokked arrograntly) sms me and 'instructed' us to do more callings, to try and see if pple will attend a session tml! and asked us to come down tml (a sat) to help out.. her sms really got us so frustrated and angry.. it wasnt a nice sms! its like instructions! pls.. y wld we sacrifice our sat jus for sth that we knew yield zero outcome and at such short notice? and oso the temps has spent the past few days calling hundreds of pple to which only less than 10 people showed an interest! guessed the time i took to reply that sms was too slow, so big boss called me and asked.. told us they really hope to get more people to come for briefing, and hope that we all can do OT today till 8 plus 9! and come back again tml whole day and do calling and help out! it really gotten into me! this thing was so last min, and last min things dun yield results! but obviously big boss's orders cant be defied.. so fine, me and another 2 temps agreed to come tomorrow, but only for half a day.. it was 5plus then.. and really, all the frustrated us have no intention of doing OT, so packed our stuff and ready to leave.. but at 530, the project coord called me and asked if we are gg to do OT today? i said no, cos all of us are unavailable.. and she jus say, big boss ask u all do OT watz.. my blood was boiling and so i jus told her off that it was so last min and she cant possibly expect us to drop our appointments to do OT! guessed i spoke in a rather pissed manner that my temps and contract colleagues (who are equally frustrated) can see im REAL angry.. so she got my tone, and was fine with us not doing OT.. but wat she said next was like.. eh.. simply irresponsible.. she said, 'u all coming in tml morning right? u all do the callings and see if anyone will turn up for the briefing in the afternoon. we (the perms themselves) will be in in the afternoon. but if no one is interested in turning up, sms me and we wont be coming in the afternoon!' WAT????? i simply repeated wat she said to me back to her in a sacastic manner.. and luckily she got it..

this whole thing, though resolved in a rather good manner cos in the end as we dun need to turn up tml, was like simply uncaring! they (the perms) are outside at furama hotel for a meeting, leaving us in the office and expecting us to perform on behalf of them! and the fact is, us, the ones on contracts will not be in the company anymore from next weds.. for us, there's no nid for us to commit anything, and wat i did was jus helping out of goodwill and u cant expect me to be in office on a sat to help u when u perms jus enjoy ya sats! there's not even enuff days left for me to claim my time off! and the fact that there's so much things for us to do and so little people to do it is all cos of the reorg that made most of the temps left the company! u can’t expect a person to call like 100 plus people a day! we are not a call centre! seriously, im really there in the office cos i have to there.. yesh, it will seem to be not a nice way to put it.. but really, i started in the company with lotsa drive and enthusiasm.. but with the mismanagement of our feelings in the process of the reorg and the contract thing, things simply turns so.. eh.. sianz.. jus hope things will get betta, though it dun really look any promising but shall jus hope.. quite difficult to understand how im feeling now, but for a near perfectionist me, it a bitter pill to swallow in this type of circumstances..

that's a long holiday.. but too bad, i wasnt able to be out of Singapore, though i wish to be out on REAL holiday.. it was time for me to sleep all i can everydae, let all the sickness go away (obviously, it dint really go away cos the cold keep coming back to me), awaiting the arrival of new furnitures and tidying my *new* room =)

was out with sini, gina and debbie on sat.. a *ahem* long dinner at ichiban boshi again followed by chill out at indochine.. but this time round, we dint go for our usual beer or volka/rum.. we go for white wine - terrazas.. recommended by sini, which i think its not a bad choice.. =)

sun was an*EYE-OPENER* for me at vivocity.. it was super duper crowded and it was as if things there were free!! jus take the example of the candy empire.. the one at millenia walk is always empty but the one at vivocity is so crowded that things on the shelves were nearly empty! and if u all are intending to go to the GV theatres to watch any movies, pls bring ya winter wear.. cos its FREEZING cold in there.. trust me.. haha.. cos i came out shivering like crazy.. lolz but the seats are spacious, and its surround sound.. quite a good experience..

okiess, tml is another dae slackin in office.. no boss, no pple.. jus us.. contract pple and temps.. *yay!*

when motivation cease, everything jus become meaningless.. working hours seem to become super lengthy and difficult to pass for the past 1 week, and I woke up everydae thinkin of whether i shd apply for leave or MC.. everything seem jus to be so not-important since it wont concern me in the near future. wat i really look forward everydae is knockin off work on time, be it just gg home, or gg out with frens...

nwae, my very nice boss left us on friday, gg back to his original workplace tml.. *sobz* we had a farewell dinner for him on thurs at Marina south.. steamboat! (my suggestion ^.^) it was a nice gathering i shd sae, minus the fact that some of us were choking on the smoke quite often.. (fotos to be uploaded later) hope he do like our gift for him, and wish him all the best back on his job.. =)

sat was another great day when i met up with my 'sister'.. with debbie and sini back for US, the 7 sisters finally united! met up at 4 for a coffee session at TCC, a long sharing chit chatting session cum dinner at ichiban boshi @ esplande and finally 4 of us went for a chill out at the corner pub at millenium walk(forgot the name of the pub).. though i was burnt out when i reached home at ard 1 plus.. it was so good to meet up after so long.. *cheers* (photos, again, will be uploaded later.. sini, kindly share the photos taken ^^)

i think its fated tt my life is not as smooth going.. hiccups do occur every now and then.. sometiMes i feel life really sux to the core.. be it previously in studies, or now at work.. or even in my personal life tt i dun wan to think back abt.. wat has i done wrong to deserve all these?

though i can sae when i dont do well in studies, its partly my fault.. but when it comes to work, i simply tried my best.. and do wat im supposed to do.. but when a change is being implemented, it jus had to go thru, no matter who and how many pple tt will be affected, no matter how many pple's future will be put on stake, and how many wishes and hopes tt was dashed.. all cos it was a directive from the top.. I think none can understand the hard punch tt the reality gave me.. how painful it was! and with the pain, its full of regrets! if i had not came to this company, and accepted another offer long ago, i shd have been earning a stable income since may! if i had not came to this company, i shd not have waited for so long for tt simple one contract tt only came a day before a reorg was announced! had i not came to this company, i would not feel so lost.. now tt i would be transfered out of co to another co down few storeys!

but if i were to look on the brighter side, if i had not come to this co, i would not had came to know so many nice colleagues and to know such a nice boss.. and of cos shuai ge oso.. lolz.. it was afterall a good learning and working experience for me..

though wat lies infront of me will not be a bed of roses, esp without such a good boss and fellow team members to shield me from all the badies, i will jus had to accept all tt and take it in my stride.. it will be something hard for me to swallow and digest..

to me, it was a tad better than being not recognised for the efforts being put in.. was invited, together with my boss, to the post event appreciation lunch at Noble House at UIC building on Wednesday.. though the food was quite nice, but i would say it was a stressful lunch.. when the topic of the day with the industry partners and training providers was how's the outcome of the recruitment event, how can we better improved in helping the industry, things about the IMF, history of countries, current affairs, blah blah blah.. nevermind that, cos at the end of the dae, me and my boss secured a few job orders, and oso committment to a few company visits.. *cheers*

more surprising, i received sms tt jus made my dae.. ;)

at nite, met up with gina for the long awaited musical - Forbidden City at Esplanade Theatre.. wat more can I sae, the show is simply gggrrreeeaaatttt! good set, great vocals from local and foreign talents, good music from the ensemble.. 2 thumbs up! highly recommended.. =)

Gotten to know the newcomer takin over shuaige's place quite a nice chap to work with, at least he offered me the chance to tag along with companys' visit next week.. *whee*
Friday was a so-called half dae due to co. 3rd aniversary! Played games for the rest of the dae and my team topped the whole company!! *applause* and the prize is...*drums roll..* a tin of lollipops! a good 150 of them!!! hahaha
Going to watch forbidden city next weds!!! *sense of anticipation!* have been longing to watch a musical or concert at esplande...

my work load has obviously lessened after the launch of the PE WSQ, leaving me with some small job orders to fulfil in a week while waiting for the replies from most employers.. so its quite a breeze and its more so with a new headcount added into my team.. however, moving forward, i (or rather my team) foresee quite alot of manpower re-allocation with the team and even the division itself.. to the extent tt, as a fresh grad, i feel kinda lost, a sense of my future turning bleak esp when u are unsure of where u are heading to.. its now a time for me to re-evaluate my career options.. at this point in time, cant say really much, but i hope i wont make any wrong move or sth tt i will regret in the near future.. there will be opportunity cost, but i guess i jus have to weigh my pros and cons carefully

had been taking quite alot of time off this week.. not cos i dun feel like gg to work but cos im down with some stubborn cough and cold! it started with a near faint-out on last sat, den it progressed to a runny nose on mon which turned to a super serious cold and cough with fever overnight.. and now the cough is still there.. and every morning while i tok to colleagues/jobseekers/employers, i sounded like im gg to be voiceless cos im almost choking on my own phelm! arggg..

nwae, think i have turned down quite alot of jio-ings nowadays.. so sorry.. not cos i suddenly turned an introvert.. but with all the upgradings with my flat, i jus dun feel like stayin out of house late, like movies, dinners, chill-outs.. alot of packing and cleaning has to be done.. finally today is the 10th day, so it will be the end of the govt upgrading within my house.. and tada! have new toilets, nicer ceilings and new windows! but all the dust and noise will still come next week! y? cos the renovations will start then! finally, FINALLY, after 22 years, i will have my own room! and i get to design it, like wat color the walls to be painted with, wat furniture to buy, where to put it, etc.. *sense of excitement!* ^-^

oh yahz, met up with sisters for a quick dinner today.. quite a nice one, but sadly, I went off early.. but in jus a mth, deb and sini will be back.. and we will be in full force again! yay! 14 Oct (take note deb, sini n steph)the tentative date for our phototakin.. proposed by dajie, seconded by me, agreed by amd and elin.. motion passed! hahaha..

when sth was not execute properly, or the end pdt lies far from what you predicted, it jus dun justifies the amount of effort that you have put in.. no matters the long nights spend on it, the long stays in office jus to plan for the 1 thing.. Nevertheless, really thank those whom have helped in a way or another, really appreciate all that help.. =)

Nway, had a bz week.. absenting myself from office since wednesday.. events for the last 3 days.. was at my colleague's event today where i kinda know of this nice chap.. quite surprised that we hit it off so easily.. seldom tt i come in contact with chaps that i can chat and crap for long hours, and he did make my day spent at the registration counter boredom-free.. ;) After which, was out with dajie after work.. simple dinner and a chill out at indochine.. it was a great catchin up session for both of us, i guess.. lookin forward to sun.. meetin up with wt!!! Welcome home ger!

When suan-ing becomes too much, when it becomes an everyday thing.. it jus let me evaluate my self worth.. am I really that incapable? though i tried to laff it off and tried not to think too much most of the times, it jus simply get into me.. y will i get suaned and get joked about when what is being said is not true in the first place? y am i always the target of all the suaning? though most of my frens carry with them the connotation of 'jus play play or jus kidding u' in their words, i feel it carries a different meaning when it is done between colleagues.. maybe im jus being oversensitive.. but i realised, the working world is not a bed of roses..

well, in the meantime.. shall jus do my work..

a million thanks for those who spent much time on organising this event.. it was a wonderful night.. a beautiful evening which the ladies came in the best dress, hairstyle and makeup; and the gentlemen came in their best suit..

spent majority of the time snapping fotos away (posted the photos.. but once again, pics became abit distorted).. and of cos, as usual, the 3 tables of HRC graduates are out to sabo the guys.. sabo-ed ray, zhonghan, lionel as the tallest,the most chatty, and the most hairy respectively..

the post dinner chill-out at Penny Black was fun as we gather to play 'zhong ji mi ma' with the forfeit of truth/dare..

overall, i mus sae tt it was an enjoyable day..

the only regret was i dint really have the chance to take a photo with someone - the person who left me the most beautiful memories in my uni life.. though it was jus 1 and 1/2 months, they were my happiest days.. i tot i would have forget everything after 1 year, but yesterday, i realised that the memories have nv left me in the first place.. and i do miss him somehow.. how i wish things did not turn out tt way then, how i wish i can change the situation, but the ball has nv been in my court..

yay!! finally graduated!! 3 cheers!
felt totally like i was in the harry potter wizards school today when all of us were walkin around in our academic dresses.. the ceremony, though short and *ahem* boring.. but i think it mark the end of our academic life (at least for the time being).. and i muz really thank my dear mommy and daddy for supporting me this far.. THANK YOU!!!
nwae, its a day of looking out for familiar faces and snapping fotos.. but i muz say i am really REALLY shocked that ray did the closing speech for the ceremony!!!! he represented NBS business, and of cos, he represented HRC too! 'WOAH'

having worked for 2 consecutive sats is taking a toil on my mental health ( i guess it applies to my teammates as well..), but luckily, i am claimin time off on mon and tues.. yay! been quite bz at work with alot of job orders coming in, and facing the problem of manpower shortage on our side.. think it gonna get worse coming next week when our temps gg to leave us for their uni studies.. but nvm, shall think abt tt when the time really comes.. last week saw the leavin of very nice NUS interns from downstairs (MCD).. Lawrence and Janice.. very friendly and sociable pple.. hope their stay in coy is a nice and enjoyable one.. wish them all their best in their final 4th yr back sch..

sometimes i jus wonder if this coy is really THE coy for me.. sometime i jus wonder whats the career progression.. sometimes when things gets real frustrating, i jus got so fed up and really wanna look for other jobs, given the fact tt they keep delayin the contract.. but sometimes i jus feel that job hoppin dun really do a person good and sometimes i jus cant find the time to type out a proper resume to send.. how contradicting..

met up with some of my jc classmates on fri.. pple like edwin, gy, andria, emma, david, ravel turned up.. quite a nice gathering, i shd sae.. did catch up with wat they are busy with nowadays.. and realised tt i can jio alot of pple out for lunch in the future.. hr classmates like Zc, lionel, lala, desmond, shiling, sam, etc.. pple workin in KP like andria, xiuhui, jon, kl, etc.. or pple workin in EY like zh.. pple in deloitte like jess seems abit too far to jio though.. woahh.. quite alot, but there again, sometimes im jus lazy in sms-ing pple.. haha

someone did make a comment tt i changed alot (not much of appearance, but mentally i guess) .. im not surprised. time flies, and pple do change.. last 1 yr is jus enuff to make a person change.. and im glad tt i did pick myself up and move on.. i did not hestitate to left my 7270 at nokia care today for repair, i did not hestitate to acknowledge tt all my data, pics will be gone.. well, i guess i have truely put down all the memories tt held me back and move on..

well well, world cup fever is on in my office.. pple placing bets and jio-in each other to watch the finals at chijmes.. hahaha.. still contemplating if i should go on sun.. the match's at 2 plus AM can?! and we are supposed to be there at 6pm!!! but a good thing is i got a day off on Mon.. not solely cos of the world cup but to collect cert in sch.. =)

beginning to understand how badly stress can affect health.. waking up in the middle of the nights, can't really sleep well and by the end of the week, pure exhaustion..

was held up at company function at ritz carlton on mon, company GEMS day.. so there went my whole morning.. and when i got back to office, it was a mad rush of things.. sending out emails, calling pple up, administrative matters..
tues wasnt in the office for more than half the dae as I was out helpin at the event for my team member..
weds in the office was super busy when i had tonnes of things to do, preparing for the recruitment event on thurs.. tt's my ever first event tt i did, wholly and solely by me, myself.. yay! alot of planning and coordination went behind tt..
and came thurs, the so called big day (for me), was in office in the morning, double checkin tt i got all the stuff in order and was out at 11am, headed for the event.. it went well generally, though the employer wasnt exactly too cooperative and with some thing cocked up in the middle.. nevertheless, at least i dint stumble in my presentation (dint burst out laffing..lolz), dint really screwed up, and of course, cldnt have done all tt with the help of my team members, the temps, the interns from the front line division, and the shuai ge downstairs.. hopefully the placement wld be good, so tt i wont be arrowed in the next meeting.. *pray hard*
fri, though it was last dae of the workweek, it wasnt for us in the team as today, sat, was out helping at my team member's event at suntec.. wakin up so early, can!!!! 7.30am reach suntec lehz.. siao liao lahz.. i nv been to suntec so early lohz.. but luckily, the mac breakfast tt our boss bought for us make up for all the sianness and the 'y-are-we-here-so-early' feeling in us.. the event went well, and we ended day with giving us a good pampering, late lunch at the nice jap restaurant at marina sq.. the one tt have super nice ice cream (the one jus next to billy bombers)..

nwae, 1 thing tt i gathered from this week experience, i m not the person tt shd take cab for long rides.. felt so pukish after travellin from tuas back home!! gosh, and i lost my appetite for dinner .. *faint*

well well, all that left me with onli ONE dae to recuperate at home.. and another stressful week awaits me with another event on thurs.. >.<

with the gradual increasing work load, the incoming job orders from companies, the increasing meetings each day, i finally understand what is working life all about.. its sth that you can think abt it even when you are sleeping.. guess tt its sth called stress..

i began to understand how the work are done within the co, what are the procedures tt's required for some of the work.. i think govt/stat boards usually ahve more procedures den the usual private firms.. well well well, at least im learning sth new each day.. sth tt im glad of.. quite stressed over my work though.. gg down to one of the company tomorrow, and i have 4 job orders to fulfill and all them are equally urgent.. *argh* >.<>

nvm all that, at least im not bringin any work back home as of now and i hope i wont be bringin any in the near future.. time away from work is meant for me to relax, rite? heee.. but im glad to have a group of fun collegues at work.. the group of temps (gals waitin to get into ntu..), my team members, kk as well as lala.. work wont be tt bad afterall.. =)

was busy watching vcds the past 1 week or so.. dint really feel like gg out of house, so there i was, addicted to the sets of vcds tt sini lent me b4 she went US.. nice shows, i shd sae.. 'dou yu(the outsiders)' and 'ziang wei zi nian (the rose)'.. especially like one of the actors in 'the rose'.. oh, he's so pretty from some angle, handsome from another.. and the wae he look at pple is so gentle, so 'shen qin'.. hahhaa.. oh btw, he's zheng yuan chang.. gg borrow more vcds from zh liao.. =)

yesterdae was a day filled with mixed emotions..
well, to start off, the dae dint started off at the right note.. as usual, prepared to go off for work, but finding someone downstairs will be the last thing on my mind cos my main concern in the morning is to get to work on time, whether i can get a seat on the bus/train so tt i can doze off and nothing else.. wats more, when things are done unnecessarily, i wont be abit appreciative at all.. and i dun really like the idea of having pple i know ard my house.. i jus dun feel comfortable.. its okie if its some uncles/aunties/neighbours/friends tt i know passing by to shop ard at the market or shops.. but its a huge no-no to know tt someone is waiting downstairs.. droppin by my hall is okie, tt's understandable, but not this.. it will jus be a thin line that my emotions be turning to a full blown irritation.

okies, dun tok abt tt.. went to work and like any other daes, emails checkin, calling up js/companies, tokkin to temps and boss, etc.. nothing seems wrong, but my left eye kept twitching.. i nv have it in ages.. so i guess, like all old tales, its a bad omen.. so it left me rather worried.. and kept me thinkin wat may happen.. but luckily, i was asked to go out for a meeting at kaki bukit with my colleagues in the noon, so it pretty much stopped me from thinkin so much.. gg to the biomedical company is rather a nice trip, esp when i get to see how are artificial heart valves are made and tokkin to the HR manager and administrator makes me think how hard it was like to ask a company for an interview during our days doing project..

well well, after the company visit, on my trip back home, lala called mi and received few sms tt the results are out!! i kinda panicked cos i am really scared tt i may fail.. writing 6 pages each for my 2 exams is not a really good sign when i heard pple are writing more that tt!! so the first moment i reached home, i logged in to the system and checked my results.. *phew* passed.. so i graduated.. haha.. was really happy and glad tt the pple i asked are getting honours..

so it kinda wrap up my day, but b4 i can sleep i rushed a ppt for today's recruitment event.. i like working under my boss.. at least i am appreciated for the efforts i put in.. its a difference workin here and in my PA company.. at least pple will tell me 'thanks for the good job in doing the slides' and 'thanks for the effort'.. speaking of GEMS…

was out on recruiting event at clementi today, and for lunch, we had it at SIM (thanks to my boss who drove us there) Its my first time i step foot in there.. quite a good experience, but it brought back some good memories.. not in SIM(since i nv went there b4), but all the good times i had in NTU.. eating lunches with frens, sisters.. all the discussing of projects, gathering at a table with a lappy and over a drink or meal.. all the tokkin crap and crackin jokes.. oh manz, i love school (minus exams lah).. not tt i dun like wat im doin now, jus tt, yes, i miss sch, my frens, and my sisters.. i miss studying..

oh well, good thing is i get to go out of office 3 days next week.. and hopefully i am granted permission to go to c*hangi p*rison one dae next week.. an eye-opener for mi..

lappy have been down, so tt explained my absence.. so now its up and workin again, shall see mi online more often.. alrite, quick updates.. went to the HR dinner @ coffee club at Hotel Rendezvous on the 10th of May.. quite like it though the food wasnt good, jus tt its good to catch up with frens over dinner..

went for a few interviews and now landed on a job with one of the stat board.. so its fighting with the morning crowd everydae.. and i have to stand all the wae to raffles place, since its at shenton wae.. but guess will see some familiar faces ard, since there's a few big 4 cos situated in blgs ard, and oso within my own co.. maybe some of the business/hr students..

dint cry on fri, cos the impact wasnt tt great.. cos wt wld be back in aug, and maybe can still see her online.. but the impact began to set in when she left.. 1 less msn chat partner, 1 less shoppin kaki, 1 less person on the mj table, 1 less aunt agony.. den come yesterdae, it was a super emotional dae.. cos of the impact which has been gathering from tt time wt left, and cos from lookin at the ppt tt deb sent, the msgs tt steph n gina left, n oso lookin at the video tt i made.. all the memories, the things we all have done in the past 2 yrs, and cos they were gg to a place where connections were not tt readily available, and lastly cos they are gg to mackinaw- a place tt i initially wanna go, made the intention to go, but pulled out.. though do feel abit of regret, i know i wont thrive in such a situation.. but glad they had go along with their dreams, and im sure they will have fun there.. both independent gers.. muz take care of each other k..wanting, debbie, sini.. miss u all sooooooo much!! take care!!

coming back from the vietnam trip, i left for sentosa on the very next dae.. joinin my other sisters there..

despite the heavy rain early in the morning, we left to play luge when the rain stops! short trill, i muz sae.. luge, beach vollyball, and all the games tt we can think of.. haha of course, when the sun goes down, we went to watch the musical fountain (...kiki n princess pearl.. lol).. and we found fun in walkin thru the merlion fountain, wadin thru the ankle length level and siam-ing all the water sprouting out from some of the holes.. played like as if we are still young..

like usual, we found a place near coffee bean, sittin there, and chatting thru the nite.. talkin about abt our life, our childhood.. well, i muz sae.. i do enjoy myself very much.. too bad the thing tt i spent months doin cant be saved so i cant show u all, i will find a solution to it eventually.. =) thks gers for these wonderful memories..

following the 3D2N genting trip, i left for a 4D3N trip to Vietnam..
quite an eye opener since i have nv been to Vietnam b4.. its a developing nation, so cant expect much from there.. one thing tt amazed mi is the number of motorbikes on their streets, and of cos, their drivin skills.. i think its a 50 bikes to 1 car ratio on the road, and they simply juz whiz past u (sometimes missing u by a few inches).. there's not much of traffic lights around, so u jus gotta jaywalk.. one thing tt i learnt when crossing the road, walk slowly! they will jus drive around u..

went for sight seeing on one of the daes.. cuchi tunnels and some of the religious blgs in the xtry.. i shd sae tt they are very clever people.. building the tunnels to defend themselves during the war.. there isnt much things to shop ard there, very much like in bangkok.. but their ice cream is sellin at such a low price!! i ate a choco ice cream (swensen equivalent) at jus SIN 1.40 bucks! and their food ard quite good.. spring rolls esp..

been pretty busy for the past 1 week or so.. Juggling my time over looking for jobs, sending resumes, going out with frens, project-ing, etc... shall jus gave a raw update of wat had happened...

.::3D2N Genting::.

Finished my exams on the 18th, and on the 19th, i was on my way to genting with my sisters!!! took a coach there, a 6-hour journey.. stayed in Hotel Genting.. weather was very good, super cooling.. i luve it sooo much; rides were good (though i dint attempted as much rides as others due to height phobia) i nevertheless did had fun; but food's quite ex and not too fabulous.. overall, i should sae its a GREAT trip.. thks sisters for the good company!! i shall let the pictures do most of the talking later...

.::End of Hall Life::.

26th Apr marked the end of my hall life, returned the key and moved out of hall 2..well, over my 3 yrs in NTU, i had been moving ard in halls, stayed in hall 14, 12 and 2.. 3 halls for 3 different sems.. i shd say my yr 1 hall life is more happening with hall commitments, but i feel the hall life this sem is better, with nice pple ard to make my life easier.. like my aunt agony and advisor roomie, my 16doors away sister cum tv-watcher cum occasional jogging partner and her forever so funny cum yong ling fanatic rommie, my hall 12 occasional dinner buddy zh, my lunch/dinner/supper buddy, and the forever so nice wafer auntie etc... all in all, i shd sae its not bad stayin in hall, esp with so much convienence...

.::Moving on::.

The end of exams also mark the end of my student life, which also means the start of me going into the corporate world.. but now, my status is still unemployed.. not in a hurry to get a job, jus hope to get a good job at the end of the dae.. =) well, i guess its enjoyment of life right now.. gg vietnam, sisters' chalet at sentosa, sending wt, deb and sini off at different daes (i will definietly miss u gals), HR dinner, and of cos gai gai-ing in between...

one year older, one year wiser (hopefully..) hahaa..
welcomed this special dae with nothing other than sitting at the table, pouring over unfinished readings.. and the paper was.. 'okie lah' (standard ans tt i will usually give).. hopefully the bdae luck would be able to help mi somehow.. =P

with a little pleasant surprise, many sms birthdae wishes, 4 calls from sisters and home, it was generally a good enjoyable dae..
of course, a relaxing dinner with my dear sisters right after the paper to celebrate my bdae brought this special dae to a close.. dinner at swensens JP was good.. 2nd consecutive yr there.. same place, same dae but having different company, sitting at different seats and eating different dishes....
nwae, thanks a millions to all those who have made this dae a more-than-normal dae... =)
