an eXtraordinary day..

to me, it was a tad better than being not recognised for the efforts being put in.. was invited, together with my boss, to the post event appreciation lunch at Noble House at UIC building on Wednesday.. though the food was quite nice, but i would say it was a stressful lunch.. when the topic of the day with the industry partners and training providers was how's the outcome of the recruitment event, how can we better improved in helping the industry, things about the IMF, history of countries, current affairs, blah blah blah.. nevermind that, cos at the end of the dae, me and my boss secured a few job orders, and oso committment to a few company visits.. *cheers*

more surprising, i received sms tt jus made my dae.. ;)

at nite, met up with gina for the long awaited musical - Forbidden City at Esplanade Theatre.. wat more can I sae, the show is simply gggrrreeeaaatttt! good set, great vocals from local and foreign talents, good music from the ensemble.. 2 thumbs up! highly recommended.. =)

wat make a good week?

• Birthday dinner for pris and darren at vila'ge where our whole team turned up
• Lunch-in on most of the days when we played 'ticket-to-ride' - a board game happily sponsored by darren
• Received my contract.. finally.. *yay!*
• Gotten to know the newcomer takin over shuaige's place quite a nice chap to work with, at least he offered me the chance to tag along with companys' visit next week.. *whee*
• Friday was a so-called half dae due to co. 3rd aniversary! Played games for the rest of the dae and my team topped the whole company!! *applause* and the prize is...*drums roll..* a tin of lollipops! a good 150 of them!!! hahaha
• Going to watch forbidden city next weds!!! *sense of anticipation!* have been longing to watch a musical or concert at esplande...
• Going on site recce at P*sA next Mon.. meaning half a day not in office

my work load has obviously lessened after the launch of the PE WSQ, leaving me with some small job orders to fulfil in a week while waiting for the replies from most employers.. so its quite a breeze and its more so with a new headcount added into my team.. however, moving forward, i (or rather my team) foresee quite alot of manpower re-allocation with the team and even the division itself.. to the extent tt, as a fresh grad, i feel kinda lost, a sense of my future turning bleak esp when u are unsure of where u are heading to.. its now a time for me to re-evaluate my career options.. at this point in time, cant say really much, but i hope i wont make any wrong move or sth tt i will regret in the near future.. there will be opportunity cost, but i guess i jus have to weigh my pros and cons carefully

had been taking quite alot of time off this week.. not cos i dun feel like gg to work but cos im down with some stubborn cough and cold! it started with a near faint-out on last sat, den it progressed to a runny nose on mon which turned to a super serious cold and cough with fever overnight.. and now the cough is still there.. and every morning while i tok to colleagues/jobseekers/employers, i sounded like im gg to be voiceless cos im almost choking on my own phelm! arggg..

nwae, think i have turned down quite alot of jio-ings nowadays.. so sorry.. not cos i suddenly turned an introvert.. but with all the upgradings with my flat, i jus dun feel like stayin out of house late, like movies, dinners, chill-outs.. alot of packing and cleaning has to be done.. finally today is the 10th day, so it will be the end of the govt upgrading within my house.. and tada! have new toilets, nicer ceilings and new windows! but all the dust and noise will still come next week! y? cos the renovations will start then! finally, FINALLY, after 22 years, i will have my own room! and i get to design it, like wat color the walls to be painted with, wat furniture to buy, where to put it, etc.. *sense of excitement!* ^-^

oh yahz, met up with sisters for a quick dinner today.. quite a nice one, but sadly, I went off early.. but in jus a mth, deb and sini will be back.. and we will be in full force again! yay! 14 Oct (take note deb, sini n steph)the tentative date for our phototakin.. proposed by dajie, seconded by me, agreed by amd and elin.. motion passed! hahaha..
